About Our Project
The Lions Park Burrill Lake Community-Led Project is all about creating a welcoming space where everyone belongs. Driven by local passion and collaboration, we’re transforming Lions Park into a safe, active, and inclusive destination for all ages.
This project brings together service clubs, businesses, schools, and volunteers under one vision: connection, health, and pride of place.

Skate Park, pump track, Amphitheatre, fitness trail, bush tucker walk, community garden, sculpture walk, improved facilities, and spaces for markets and events-something for everyone.
This is a community-led initiative, designed to enhance wellbeing, support tourism, and leave a lasting legacy of inclusion for generations to come.
Survey results
“We know some of you might be thinking: ‘The Lions Park is fine as it is, why change it?’
That’s a fair question.
But when 863 people shared their thoughts in our community survey, they told us they see something more.
They see opportunity; to keep the open space we all love, while adding features that make it easier for children, teenagers, adults, and seniors to enjoy the outdoors in ways that fit today’s life.
Our vision for Lions Park is simple: a place where everyone feels welcome. A space that brings people together across generations, celebrates our natural surroundings, and reflects the spirit of Burrill Lake.
This is about balance: keeping what we love, while shaping a park that works for everyone.
